Bon Vivant
A character of the world, delightfully non-conformist, but with casual nonchalance. Always in favour of the finer things, but also up for a bit of fun. Bon Vivant radiates a sparkling coolness, but always retains the mischievous charm of an outdoorsman. Cosmopolitan, tasteful and full of joie de vivre. A hedonistic, yet refreshingly easy-going guy who is always a pleasure to socialise with.

Kellerbier
Original wort: 12 %
Pale, top-fermented beer, naturally cloudy and unpasteurised
Available in 0.3 and 0.5 litres
Alcohol content: 5 vol %
Light golden yellow colour
Balanced and slightly fruity flavour
Pschuuri bride
A decidedly tart character, but with sweet notes on the inside. Although it mainly shows its dark face, it conceals a complex character that is deeply rooted in Splügen culture. She is decidedly opaque, with a striking body, but is tastefully attractive. Anyone who likes dark types will love her.

Stout
Original wort: 13 %
Dark, top-fermented and unpasteurised stout beer
Available in 0.3 and 0.5 litres
Alcohol content: approx. 5 to 7 vol %
Malty and tart flavour, with coffee & roasted aromas

A fun-loving character who always knows exactly what he wants. Above all, this cheerful character stands for full-bodied enjoyment. With a Bavarian zest for life in her heart and Swiss charm in her character, she has the right mix for sociable and entertaining evenings in a mountain hut. Just the kind of person you can have a really good time with.

Hefeweizen
Original wort: 11 - 14 %
Straw-yellow, top-fermented beer with at least 50% wheat malt content
Available in 0.5 litres
Alcohol content: 5 vol %
Full-bodied flavour with classic banana aromas, nutmeg
The SPELUCA brewery will open in winter 2024 in a place that has always been open to new ideas: Splügen in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Splügen was first mentioned in a document in 831 – as “Speluca”. In the Middle Ages, muleteers travelled through the mountain pass and traded extensively. Today, the modern “Schäumer” have settled here to mix beer with this special Splügen spirit. The most important ingredient – alongside the best Swiss mountain water, hops and malt – is the right amount of cosmopolitanism. Our beers contain Czech expertise, Austrian joie de vivre and Swiss perfection, and of course, the many years of experience of our widely travelled German master brewer Tobias Palmer alongside the fresh ideas of our young Czech master brewer Viola Linhartová.

Speluca will soon be more than just a beer
In summer 2025, we will be opening the eponymous gourmet hotel and a restaurant for more than 200 guests right next to the SPELUCA brewery. Socialising and a relaxed atmosphere are very important here, because everyone is welcome at the new SPELUCA. The hotel offers modern flats as well as cosy hotel rooms, but also very relaxed dormitories with bunk beds for last-minute guests. We are very flexible.

The mountains are ideal for hiking, motorcycling or cycling. Enjoy 100 km of hiking trails, the Via Spluga long-distance hiking trail and excursion destinations such as the Viamala or Roffla Gorge, Montespluga Lake and the San Bernardino Pass.

Winter
The Splügen-Tambo ski area offers snow-sure skiing fun until spring at 1480-2215 metres. Enjoy 15 slopes (30 km), 6 lifts, fun park, freeride areas, 38 km of cross-country ski trails, 5 toboggan runs, winter hiking trails and a snowshoe trail.
Live like on the crest of the foam: SPELUCA offers you a total of six comfortable holiday flats with kitchen, WLAN and modern facilities directly above the newly built brewery. Available from 2025.

Whether you’re planning a birthday, wedding, company party, seminar or even a concert in Splügen – from summer 2025 we’ll have plenty of space for it at the SPELUCA.
